| How Has Spanish Played a Role in Your Personal and Professional Life? |
I am a heritage language speaker. I was born in NY to Dominican immigrants and everyday I’m grateful that I learned Spanish from a young age in order to have more access to family and personal history. I decided to major in Spanish in college getting both a BA and MA in it and enjoy exploring the language and it’s various cultural manifestations in the classroom.
