| How Has Spanish Played a Role in Your Personal and Professional Life? |
In my personal life it has had an impact because my grandfather is Puerto Rican and ever since I was little I always wanted to learn Spanish so that I could better communicate with him, even though he spoke English. I worked very hard and travelled to Puerto Rico to visit him and to be with my other side of the family. I love languages and Spanish happened to be part of my culture. With this appreciation of my culture and language, I decided to study it and now I have been teaching for 11 years.
