I starting learning Spanish as an adult; I did not have any family or community connection to the language. Learning and teaching Spanish have been transformative experiences that continue to challenge and reward me. Working with my colleagues in our Heritage program has given me incredible insights into issues of language learning and identity. I look forward to continuing to learn from them!
