| How Has Spanish Played a Role in Your Personal and Professional Life? |
I was born, raised and lived most of my life in Mexico so Spanish is a big part of my identity and education. With the exception of my husband and kids, all my family still lives there, and I decided to teach my kids to speak Spanish instead of English. They are Spanish Heritage speakers, and this personal aspect motivates me to learn more about how to help this kind of students. Right now, I’m teaching an intermediate level class for HS.
