| How Has Spanish Played a Role in Your Personal and Professional Life? |
I grew up speaking Spanish and learned English in Kindergarten. I never had a formal Spanish class until I decided to get a BA in Teacher Education in Spanish. I skipped the basic courses and went straight to 3rd year courses in composition and literature. I also received my MA in Spanish Linguistics. I enjoy teaching the heritage speakers because I have been on their side of the desk. I am looking to revamp the Heritage Speaker Course at Waubonsee and I am looking for new resources.
