Jocelly Meiners (UT Austin/TeCHS Project Director)

During this workshop, attendees will learn about Multimodal Project Based Learning for Heritage Spanish instruction. We will explore a variety of projects that can be adapted to different levels of instruction considering the learners and their curricular needs. Attendees will analyze methodologies and curriculum processes to design and implement multimodal projects. Examples of projects created by students, as well as the materials used in the design process (such as learning guides, instructions, and rubrics) will be shared. The workshop will conclude with a hands-on section where attendees will use what they learned to create a project for their own students.
