The Texas Coalition for Heritage Spanish (TeCHS) will host the TeCHS 10th Summer workshop: Engaging Heritage Spanish Learners Beyond the Classroom. This year’s workshop will be from 8:30am – 5pm (CST) on May 31, 2024 in the George I. Sánchez (SZB) Building at The University of Texas at Austin.
We are happy to announce our workshop presentations and presenters:
- Estrategias creativas para evaluar el aprendizaje sociocultural – Emily Bernate – St. Edward’s University
- Service Learning: Construyendo comunidad, fomentando la participación activa y empoderando a estudiantes de ELH – Stephanie Brock González – The University of Texas at San Antonio
- Uso de periódicos históricos para crear lecciones temáticas: Investigación y conciencia crítica en el aula ELH – Yanina Hernández – University of Houston
- Creando proyectos de aprendizaje (PBL) para estudiantes multilingües – Luz Alvarez-Sims – The University of Texas at Austin
We have opened a call for posters for researchers, graduate students, and language instructors (all levels) to showcase their work! Accepted poster presentations will receive free registration to the workshop! Submit a proposal here!
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours will be available for workshop attendees.
