| How Has Spanish Played a Role in Your Personal and Professional Life? |
I was born in Mexico, I moved to the US when I was 16. My first language is Spanish but my mother’s first language is Mayan. I decided to teach Spanish and cultural explorations to create awareness about the diversity of cultures in Spanish speaking countries, to break stereotypes and promote the appreciation of or native cultures and mestizo heritage that comes with the language.
